Name: Carlos Morales Iturbe aka "Froy"

Age: 21

Nationality: Mexican

Place of living: In a town called San Agustin in Chimalhuacan, Mexico.

Job: I work in traffic lights and giving small shows where I get the opportunity

How many years have you been juggling with sticks: five years

Number of devilsticks you have: I have many, hahaha, maybe 23 - some old warriors and those that I currently use.

Your juggling achievements (prize / performance / trick that you are proud of / etc.):

One of my achievements was to enter the regional competition of the IJA in my country and took first place. My pride trick is the "Anti-gravity" thanks to that I learned a lot of tricks.

Other juggling equipments you play with:

I juggle with hoops, balls, clubs and staff.

Are you member of any team/group/club/association?

Not really, I collaborate in different groups but I am not an official member of any of them.

Please write some sentences of yourself in general:
"Whatever happens, whatever it is, your way."

Why did you learn to use this juggling tool and where did you first meet with it?

In my school there was a small group of jugglers and I wanted to try it but I could not play with any toy until one day some flowersticks arrived and they taught me the basics and I could not - hahaha - but entertained myself and I said I liked this.

Which trick did you find the most difficult to learn?

It was definitely tic-toc with doubles.

What are you practicing at the moments?

I'm practicing shower with four flowersticks and cascade with five.

Do you have tricks that you invented?

Not really, most of my tricks are variations of tricks that already existed.
Although perhaps among so many variants there is one invented by me :).

What are your favorite tricks?

Antigravity, double fish and (5,5,1,1) with triples.

What are the most difficult tricks you can do?

3 up piruette, high/low with triples and 2 up quadruple piruette.

Do you play with firestick?

I'm not a fan but suddenly some works come out with fire.

What do you do on a normal day, how many hours do you practice?

A normal day in my life is based on listening to music, go to the traffic light and go home.
Tuesday and Thursday I train with my friends at the monument of the revolution but only when I'm in the city since I usually travel.

Do you perform with flowersticks?

Yes, I love presenting my acts.

How do you create your show?

I do not have an exact idea, sometimes I just listen to a song and imagine sequences, if the visualization seems possible I try it.

Do you teach juggling?

Yes, I give workshops to small groups of stickers in different states of my country.

Why do you like devilsticks?

Because they allow me to travel and know my country and its landscapes.
My hobby is to take photographs and travel helps that hobby, it is like a chain of hobbies that complement each other.

What are your strong/weak points regarding juggling?

I think my strong point in juggling is only flowersticks, and my weak point will always be the diabolo, hahaha, I could never play it well.

How is juggling life in Mexico? Are devilsticks popular?

The juggler's guild is wide and of good level but mostly the balls, clubs and hula hoops are popular, while the devilsticking is very basic. I had to be inspired by the foreigners (Paul Rozaire, Ali Ghost, Sun-san, etc.)

What is your goal related with devilsticks? What is a challenge for you?

I think the real goal for me is to make the sticker community grow not only in quantity but also in quality. That is the reason why I teach others, the more you share, the more you learn.

What do you advice to beginner/advanced devilstick players?

Constant training, consciousness in the manipulation theory always give good results.
