These Russian-style juggling balls are made with a hollow plastic shell partly filled with sand. These juggling balls are bottom-weighted as the filling goes to the bottom of the ball when caught, giving the ball a lower center of gravity which makes the ball easier to balance or to catch in some cases, like a neck or foot catch. It also prevents them from rolling when dropped.
